So I’m helping George set up Union’s booth when Jesse and Travis from Airblaster come by and enlist me to do some painting inside their booth.

Never one to pass up a chance to slather some paint around, I took them up on it and massacred four sections with the Gary Mural above. Now, sure, the “Garyness” of the thing was a little blatant, but, I did add an Airblaster leg bag in there too, as to insure all co-branding opportunities.

Upon rereading this blog, I get the sinking feeling that I need to move on from this snowboarding shit. I had my time on the hills a decade ago, met a million heroes and colleagues, and, have enjoyed the riches and jewels I’ve accumulated from my toils in the industry, but, I just gotta wonder, what’s next?

We’ve got some plans in the works. It all starts with a trip east back to that goddamn Midwest. Might fly dad out here, and then, conquer some sort of eastbound stretch of road together, Father, Son and Holy Gary. Indeed.

Get back to that Midwest and spend a month with the parents. Dinners, tube, chilling, and some work. “Quality Time” with them, in Michigan. Sounds really good.
