Got up early as hell and got to it. Basically, give or take a couple pages, we built the mag in three days flat. Pretty much. Intensity. Too intense. Too much for my back to carry in my 33rd year. I need to reconfigure this insanity. Casualties from Day 03 with Snowboard: 88 of 90 pages. - - - - Flying back to the Midwest late tonight. Kinda excited to get back there. - - - - This one, just in from one Andy Simutis, up there in Seattle. (A small town to the north of Portland, straddling the great forests of the Northwest, resting next to the Pugent sound.) Here’s what Andy had to say, “Saw this one the other day and thought you might see a resemblance to a certain Gary you know. Why he specifically is banned from Snoqualmie Falls, I donā€™t know.” Like Andy, we’re tired of Dachshund Discrimination. It ain’t easy being long and loud. Give them a break, cruel world. Gnarly workload. Congrats on the finish. Once I was on deadline for 52 days straight, one of the lowest points in my life (but also the most productive). I knew I’d hit rock bottom the day I woke up at noon after an all nighter and furiously tried to hustle out the house in 10 minutes; the revelation hit me while eating an undercooked microwave burrito in the shower, simultaneously trying to shave with my other hand. It actually kinda looks like that piece of my Superman puzzle I lost in the shag carpet all those years ago… Happy Belated Birfday, Fuckface. 33 is a magic number, I’ve been told. Posted by: tyler on 10/26/06 at 11:15 AM
