Day 60! How about that shit? Made it. Barely. Tomorrow we go into the dreaded, “DDC Overtime.”
Wrapped up a bunch of loose ends today before the big haul tomorrow up to Thunder Bay. Mom and Gary are coming with, and we’re heading up to Canada to jump on that Trans-Canada Highway, which will take us all the way out west to Vancouver and then south down to Portland. Lots to see. The Canadian Prairie. Mountains. Banff. Calgary. Weird candy bars. Accents. Weird sweaters. Tim Horton coffee. Looneys.
Pretty excited for this run. Glad to have mom along too. She’ll “class things up” some, which is just what we need considering how Gary and I usually do it. Gary travels like a real motherfucker, not afraid to bark the hell out of any one who gets too close to the rig while we’re filling up or whatever.

Dad was down state today watching the University of Michigan kick the tar out of Indiana. He had tickets to the “Big House” in Ann Arbor and man, I would’ve loved to have joined him, but just had too much to wrap up before we split.

Tomorrow, we hop the border into Canada. Lib Tech Norm had this to say about Canada, “A strange and wonderful place.” We agree. We agree.
