Had a pleasant conversation with DRAPLIN today. Nice to hear an old old friendly voice from the past. Minneapolis welcomes him with open arms, frothy mugs of beer and wild scantly clad, scandanavian women.

You’re telling me. All of a sudden, Chicago had no Fall, we’re straight into lower 50’s temps with this Sat. hitting a high of 45. Lord have mercy but it’s only the first week of Octobrrrr!

talk about ‘octobrrrrr’……

We have had snow, sleet and hail for this entire week so far…..with no end in sight for the weekend, more cold weather expected.

Funny, though, there is a warm-up coming next week……hope it lasts for the arrival of the #1 son, back to the homestead. At least it will be warm on the sofa, under the wool afghan throw….

And I am practicing my waitressing, ready to deliver water, cookies, snacks and the phone to the boy on the sofa……can’t wait to see you.
