First off, Happy Mother’s Day to none other than my Mom. While we’re at it, we’d like to include all the good moms out there in this dispersal of warm sentiment. I miss my mom real bad, and that sort of hurtin’ ain’t no laughin’ matter. Wish I lived closer to the parents (A popular woe on the DDC factory floor.). I have been away for every Mother’s and Father’s day for hell, I can’t remember how long. Too long. I wish I lived close enough so I could jump in the rig and cruise home for days like today. I miss my Mom too! It was my intention to get to the cemetery yesterday, but I just couldn’t bring myself to go. Mothers Day sucks when your Mom is dead! Word of advice: Next year fly home and see her! It would be worth it….trust me. Posted by: Uncle Terry on 05/12/03 at 4:34 AM
Thanks, Aaron for the nice sentiment. I really miss you too…..there are too many miles between us, but at least we have that emotional connection that only a mother and son can understand. It would have been nice to see you asleep on our new sofa….it is one you can actually lay down on and watch tv, not that cutesy love-seat variety….we even added an oversized chair, fully padded, accompanied by an ottoman for your aching feet. There are rules though: be careful with any food or drink and NO “WRASSLIN” with your dad in this room…… Now that the ground rules have been laid, it will be so good to see you in August, laden with presents, pictures, endless stories, the many hugs I get to memorize and, most importantly, your laughter. love, mom Posted by: momma d. on 05/12/03 at 6:40 AM
well, I am going out on a limb here…..I check every day for updates, always enjoying the fighting spirit, at times, of the people who respond to Aaron’s comments…. I don’t know if I am more disappointed that there aren’t so many updates lately or that all you draplinites (his loyal followers) didn’t post anything for his mother’s day offering…..aren’t you guys man enough to admit missing your mommies? crying in my vodka up here in mi…… momma d.
