California, California. You are a big ol’ beast! You’ve always been an enigma to us. From our first visit in 1989, our time living in the O.C., all the way to our quick stops in San Diego and Los Angeles in early April, 2013..always exciting, with way too much stuff to wonder about. Your sunshine, wild highways and beautiful throngs were a little too much for our “man mountain/gritty” ways. We did 22 months down there on the beach, and split back to Oregon just as soon as we could. We tried, we tried.
